Ducati has revealed the latest iteration of its Multistrada in the form of the 1200 Enduro Pro.
Effectively it’s a normal Multistrada 1200 Enduro that’s been kitted out with many of the options that buyers might well want in the first place. These include Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres, 120/17 R19 at the front and 170/60 R17 rear. You also get Ducati Performance ‘bull bars’ (good luck with those bulls!), designed by Touratech, with LED spotlights hanging from them. There’s also a lower screen, designed so it’s easier to look over the top of while standing on the pegs during off-road riding. And of course there’s a Termignoni exhaust, because this is a special version of a Ducati, and you’d be surprised to find anything else in its place. It is road-legal, though.
Cosmetically, the bike has more to offer. The sand-coloured paint has a rough finish – intentionally, of course – and ‘Enduro’ decals. The two-tone seat is also exclusive to the Multistrada 1200 Enduro Pro, as are the black subframe and clutch and alternator covers.
Elsewhere, it’s the familiar – and very capable – Multistrada 1200 Enduro. That means it has a 152bhp version of the Testastretta DVT (variable valve timing) engine, mounted in a frame designed specifically for the Enduro.
The Multistrada 1200 Enduro Pro also has all the electronics that we’ve come to expect from Ducati. The list includes cornering ABS, corning lights, traction control, wheelie control, semi-active Skyhook Evolution suspension and a hill-start control system. Or, if you prefer alphabet soup, it’s ABS, DCL, DTC, DWC, DSS and VHC.
On top of that, add DMS (Ducati Multimedia System), with Bluetooth smartphone connection to integrate the bike’s switchgear with multimedia phone functions.
