New high-spec version of the latest DVT Multistrada

Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak

Written by Ben Purvis , Date 8:13 PM

When Ducati introduced its new variable-valve-timing Multistrada range a year ago the old Pikes Peak edition disappeared from the range. But for 2016 it’s back again, throwing a host of high-end components onto the Multistrada platform.

You might be thinking that the Multistrada 1200 is already a pretty high-spec machine, and you’d be right, but on top of all the usual goodies the new Pikes Peak throws in a set of Ohlins forks, an Ohlins TTX36 shock, a Termignoni exhaust, a carbon fibre screen, tank cover and mudguard, plus top of the range Brembo M50 Monobloc brakes from the Multistrada S.

To make sure everyone knows you’ve splashed out on the Pikes Peak version there’s a special livery and red rim tape on the black wheels.

Otherwise it has all the same technology as the ‘S’ model, including the riding modes, DTC traction control and cornering ABS, plus the same 160bhp DVT Testastretta engine.
