Suzuki has announced that its naked GSX-S1000 and faired GSX-S1000FA are to be offered as Yoshimura special edition models this year.
The new versions come complete with their own grey and red paintwork and graphics, reflecting Yoshimura’s colours, plus a raft of accessories. Standard kit includes a Yoshimura R11 exhaust, Yoshimura steering stem nut, timing plug, oil filler cap and bar ends.
You also get wheel rim tape, a tank pad, fuel cap trim and paddock stand bobbins, plus a black finish on the levers and heel plates.
Unusually, given the bikes’ sports-touring positioning, the Yoshimura versions have their pillion pegs removed. A cowl replaces the pillion seat pad to give a single-seat style. Fortunately the pegs and the pillion seat pad will also be supplied with the bikes in case you want to refit them.
Due to reach dealers in March, in the UK at least, the bikes will cost £9799 for the GSX-S1000 (or £10,299 with ABS) and £10,699 for the ABS-equipped GSX-S1000FA.
