Just a day after Ducati took the wraps off its carbon-fibre-framed 1299 Superleggera (click here) its rivals at BMW have revealed plans for an all-carbon HP4 Race that’s set to go on sale next year.
There are no details on the bike yet, just a teaser video. What’s clear is that it will have a carbon-fibre frame and wheels, just like the Ducati, and all-carbon bodywork to wrap around it.
Stephan Schaller, President BMW Motorrad, said: “The HP4 RACE will feature the full carbon fibre main frame and carbon fibre rims as shown here. We will reveal more about this model next spring.”
BMW has confirmed that the hand-built bike will go on sale in limited numbers in the second half of 2017.
