Ducati has added the 959 Panigale Special Edition to its range but only for its customers in the UK.
Just 25 examples of the Panigale Special Edition will be made. Each has a laser-etched serial number on the steering head to mark them out as genuine.
Two versions of the bike will be offered, the ‘Ducati Perfor mance’ version for £15,995 or with an additional ‘Carbon’ pack for £16,995.
Whichever you choose, it comes with parts including a titanium under-engine racing exhaust with matching lower fairings.
That’s a pretty important change, particularly given the chunky, stacked exhausts that the 959 Panigale has come with as standard since the bike was revamped a year ago to meet Euro4 emissions rules. With the new system, the style reverts to the neat appearance that the original 899 Panigale had, and makes it look more like the 1299 Panigale.
There’s also a billet race tank filler cap, racing articulated levers, brake lever protection, a plastic seat cowl and a Ducati Corse oversized screen.
The ‘Carbon’ version also gets a carbon fibre ignition switch cover and carbon heel guards. The shock cover and front sprocket cover are carbon fibre, while the tail tidy is part carbon and part alloy. There’s also carbon tank protector and carbon chain guard. A carbon rear hugger complete the changes along with billet alloy bar end weights.
