Supermoto-style riff on the GP450 Adventure platform

CCM goes on-road with the GP450 RS

Written by Ben Purvis

Tiny British firm CCM isn’t one of the first names to spring to mind when it comes to adventure bikes but for the last couple of years it’s been offering its BMW-engined GP450 Adventure model to riders who want serious off-road ability from their all-rounders.

Now it’s launched the ‘RS’ version which is aimed at road riders, swapping the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels for a pair of 17-inchers and gaining a cush drive into the equation to add at least a veneer of civility to the proceedings.

Underneath lies the same purpose made aluminium chassis, built using an innovative bonding process rather than welded, and BMW G450X engine.

Unusually, the bike also comes complete with the original Adventure model’s bigger, off-road-biased wheels as well as the supermoto-style 17-inchers, so provided you’ve got some tools and paddock stands it’s a cinch to switch it from road-going mode to full-on off-roader.

As such, it’s more expensive than the original; the RS costs around £9500 (€13,500) in the UK, up from £7995 (€11,400) for the Adventure version.
