Kawasaki has revealed its 2018 colour schemes for a selection of models that won’t be getting more serious updates.
The bikes shown in 2018 form today include the Vulcan S, Vulcan S Café, Versys-X 300, Versys 650, Z1000 and Z1000SX.
Vulcan S
The colour schemes for the Vulcan models include metallic black and pearl orange on the Vulcan S. The Café version will also be offered in grey.
Morihiro Ikoma, Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, said: “The mid weight sector is crucial for Kawasaki as it appeals to so many riders. The Vulcan S has proved its value in attracting male and female customers equally with an appeal across those new to biking all the way to experienced riders.”
Versys 650
The Versys 650 will come in three colours. As well as lime green, there’s a white version and a matte green model. Kawasaki is also promising ‘Edition’ models of the bike that will be shown later this year.
Ikoma said: “We regard the Versys 650 as a core machine in the mid-capacity sector. With continuing demand each year from European riders and Kawasaki dealers we are delighted to showcase the new model colours for the incoming season.”
Z1000
The Z1000 will also come two new colour schemes; green, black and grey or grey, blue and black.
Kawasaki Europe PR manager Martin Lambert said: “Since its launch the Z1000 has exemplified the core values of the Z Brand. These two high-impact colourways represent a great visual update for this much loved machine”.
Z1000SX
For the Z1000SX, the new 2018 colours are black-and-grey, green-and-grey or silver-and-black.
Lambert said: “The Z1000SX has a loyal following and understandably so. With many riders purchasing their second or even third Z1000SX – and others attracted to this attractive sport-tour concept from other brands – the addition of new colour options delivers a great model line in a very important market sector for Kawasaki.”
Versys-X 300
New for 2017, the Versys-X 300 is also getting two new colour schemes next year. These are green/grey and black/grey.
“The Versys-X 300 has been a really relevant addition to the Versys range,” said Lambert, “For many riders the adventure bike styling coupled with low running costs has conveniently represented a best of both worlds scenario.”
