Japanese market models to debut in Osaka this week

Special Edition Honda CBs revealed

Four special-edition Honda CB models will make their first public appearance at the Osaka Motorcycle Show this weekend prior to going on sale in Japan.

Two of the bikes – the CB1300 Super Bol D’Or and CB400 Super Bol D’Or – are models sold only in Japan, and get a black-and-red paint scheme. Red rear springs and wheel rim tape adds further highlights while the engines are finished in black to match the bodywork.

The firm’s CB1100 and CB1100EX, which are worldwide market models, are also getting the special edition treatment, although it’s not clear yet if the special versions will also be sold outside Japan.

The CB1100 gains black paint with chequerboard graphics, a blacked-out engine and a matt-black finish on many of the parts that would normally be chrome. The wire-wheeled EX model also gets a black engine, but with a bare alloy finish on the covers, while the paint is a combination of graphite and black.
