BMW Group Classic has announced that it has completed its move to a new headquarters.

The site, which was one of BMW’s first production facilities, is in the Milbertshofen district of Munich. To be found at Moosacher Straße 66, the 13,000 square metre facility allows all BMW’s heritage to be brought together.2-P90212688_highRes_the-new-bmw-group-cl

Ulrich Knieps, Head of BMW Group Classic, said: “Now we have everything under one roof and this provides us with the ideal conditions for maintaining our historic heritage. We have already been able to manage the first major events like the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the Mille Miglia and the Festival of Speed from our new site. And the event venue has already proved its worth, for example at the press conference to celebrate 100 years of existence of the company.”

As well as BMW’s motorcycle heritage, the facility also houses the firm’s historic cars and contains elements relating to its subsidiaries, Rolls-Royce and MINI. The company’s aviation roots are also celebrated.

1-P90226292_highRes_the-new-home-of-bmw-BMW will be offering guided tours of the venue as well as providing spaces for events. The ‘Mo 66’ café is also on site and open to visitors, allowing a view into BMW Group Classic’s vehicle workshop.

As well as working to preserve and restore old BMWs, on both two and four wheels, the Group Classic provides a growing range of parts – more than 55,000 of them at the moment – to support owners of classic BMWs.
