Drag Specialties unveils new aftermarket parts for Harley-Davidson motorcycles

Show summary Hide summary

Drag Specialties, a leading aftermarket supplier for Harley‑Davidson motorcycles, has introduced five new replacement and upgrade parts this month aimed at improving comfort, shifting and braking for a range of touring and Softail models. The line includes everything from a quick‑connect clutch cable to a chrome rear caliper kit, with fitments and pricing set for immediate dealer availability.

Quick‑Connect Braided Upper Clutch Cables

Designed to speed up repairs, Drag Specialties’ new braided upper clutch cable connects directly to the factory lower cable so installers can avoid draining transmission fluid. The cable ships pre‑lubricated for smoother operation and is built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. Riders can reuse the OE cable cover and housing.

These cables are offered in black housings and fittings and come in stock lengths specified for 2024–2026 FLHX and 2023–2026 FLHXSE models, plus 2024–2026 FLTRX and 2023–2025 FLTRXSE. They replace OEM numbers 37200574A and 37200592, with suggested retail prices roughly in the $95–$118 range.

Freedom Touring Seat with Backrest Option

The new touring seat provides a 5.75‑inch high driver support and a narrow front profile to improve leg clearance on long rides. Upholstered in automotive‑grade vinyl and available with double‑diamond stitching in black or silver thread, the seat is contoured for rider comfort while remaining compatible with frame‑mounted backrest systems.

It fits 2015–2025 FLRT and 2023–2025 FLTRT models, includes all mounting hardware, is manufactured in the U.S.A., and has a suggested starting retail price near $571.

Lower Rear Belt Guard

A simple stamped‑steel guard is now available to protect the rear drive belt from road debris and wear. The bolt‑on design covers the OEM guard and offers a straightforward installation for technicians and DIY owners.

The guard fits 2009–2026 FLHT, FLHX, FLHR and FLTR models, replaces OEM part 60408‑09, and carries a suggested retail of about $92.

Adjustable Heel/Toe Shifter Kits

For riders seeking a more tailored shift feel, Drag Specialties and Gilles Tooling collaborated on adjustable heel/toe shifter kits made from CNC‑milled 6082 T6 aluminum. The design reduces required lever travel and features a spline axle with aggressive tooth flanks for a secure engagement.

Both front and rear pegs use a double‑eccentric mounting—front pegs offer full 360‑degree positioning while rear pegs allow angle adjustment. The shift arm itself can be set in three different ratios. These kits are available in black or black/gold finishes and cover a wide span of bikes, including 1999–2025 FLHT/FLHX/FLTRX/FLTRU/FLTRK, 2009–2025 Harley trikes and 2000–2017 FLST models. Suggested retail prices range roughly from $357 to $400.

Rear Brake Caliper Kit

Finally, Drag Specialties released a rear brake caliper kit for certain Softail models. The caliper accepts factory bolts and is supplied with brake pads and a bleeder screw to simplify replacement.

This chrome caliper fits 2015–2017 Softails, replaces OEM number 41300097, and is listed at a suggested retail price of about $410.50.
