Indian’s tie-in with Jack Daniel’s has already led to limited edition versions of the Springfield and Chief Vintage and now there’s a Chieftain Jack Daniel’s edition to go with them.
Just 100 of the bikes are being made, and of them only 10 are coming to the Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The vast majority will, understandably, remain in America – homeland to both the bikes and the whiskey.
In fact, if you’re in the EMEA regions and have a crushing desire for a Chieftain Jack Daniel’s, then you’d better get on the phone to your dealer. There’s just one bike for each market in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Benelux, the UK, Finland, South Africa and Spain. To get an idea how fast you need to act, last year there were 150 Jack Daniel’s Springfields, and they sold out in eight hours.
Design for the Chieftain Jack Daniel’s has come from Klock Werks Kustom Cycles of Mitchell, South Dakota. It includes the black and white paintwork, charcoal-coloured accents and JD logos. These appear on the floorboards, tank pouch, tank console and on the cam, primary and intake covers.
The horn cover badge is pure silver, so beware leaving the bike unattended in case it goes missing…
Steve Menneto, President of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries said: “Once again, Brian Klock and his team at Klock Werks Kustoms exceeded our expectations with a totally unique Indian Chieftain that combines a sense of exclusivity with a tough, aggressive edge. We couldn’t be happier with it.”
Dave Stang, Director of Events and Sponsorships for Jack Daniel’s added: “The response to last year’s collaboration was nothing short of spectacular and we’re extremely proud to carry this partnership forward in 2017 to further reinforce our ‘Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix’ campaign.”
“Both Jack Daniel’s and Indian Motorcycle were born from a singular vision, powered by a relentless sense of ambition to bring a dream to life and that’s ultimately what this Limited Edition Jack Daniel’s Indian Chieftain represents.”
Order books open tomorrow, Tuesday 14 March, at 6pm CET.
